In-Home Design Visit
WE COME TO YOU. WE TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS, SOLVE THE LAYOUT, AND REMOVE EVERY REASON TO SECOND-GUESS.
For clients who want the most precise path forward. Particularly valuable for full-room refreshes, complex floor plans, or any project where getting the scale exactly right matters before you commit.
Our Process, In Your Space
The In-Home Design Visit brings our process into your home.
We arrive, we look at your room the way you live in it, and we capture everything — measurements, photographs, ceiling heights, natural light, architectural quirks.
Then we establish a furnishing direction grounded in the reality of your home, not in how it looks on a floor plan.
We take the liability of measurement completely off your plate. If a custom piece needs to clear a doorway, sit below a window, or scale to an unusual ceiling — we confirm it on-site before the order is placed. Not after.
This visit removes the last reasons to hesitate. You leave knowing exactly what to buy and why it works.

Who This Is For
This session is right for you if:
- You want the highest level of precision on scale, layout, and proportion
- Your home has architectural constraints, an unusual floor plan, or rooms that have never quite resolved
- You are sourcing multiple pieces and need to know with certainty that they will work together in your specific space
- You have invested in custom pieces before and learned — the hard way — that measurements matter
- You want to move quickly and decisively, without the back-and-forth of remote guesswork
How to Prepare
Before your visit, it helps to have:
- A few inspiration images, even loose ones
- A rough sense of direction — more useful than nothing
- A note on any pieces you plan to keep and work around
- Any constraints or priorities: timeline, budget range, specific lifestyle needs
We handle everything else from the moment we arrive.
What Happens After
If you choose to move forward with furnishing, your $395 is credited toward your project with no expiry. We guide the full selection process using the measurements, photographs, and direction established during the visit. Most clients find this visit eliminates weeks of uncertainty.
We wrap up with a shared understanding of exactly what your room needs, why it will work, and what happens next.
Art Integration
Interior Living sits alongside Gibson Fine Art, one of Calgary's leading contemporary galleries. When art is part of your home, it changes everything around it — the furniture, the scale, the feeling of the room. We bring that perspective into every session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Your full $395 is applied to your furnishing project. The credit applies to projects of $3,500 or more.
Not necessarily. Many clients begin with a Complimentary Design Consultation — which is the right starting point if you want to find your aesthetic direction and explore the range before committing to a scope. The in-home visit is best when on-site measurements and spatial confirmation will make a meaningful difference to your decisions.
This is a planning appointment focused on clarity, accuracy, and next steps. A clear, grounded plan built around your actual space is — in our experience — more useful than a beautiful PDF. If additional design documentation is something you want, we can discuss what makes sense after the visit.
The Complimentary Design Consultation is about direction — finding your aesthetic, understanding your options, and creating a plan. The In-Home visit adds a layer of spatial accuracy that is hard to replicate without being in the room. Many clients do both, in that order.
We aim to offer in-home appointments within one to two weeks. Reach out and we will find a time that works.
